University of Tartu:
The University of Tartu is a university with the most employees and students in Estonia, the most valuable part of which are the people who study and work here. The university must ensure their good working and learning conditions and protection from unfair and unequal treatment. The principle of equal treatment means treating equals equally, but creating conditions for those who are unequal to have the same opportunities as others. Acknowledging diversity, respecting the rights of the university members and promoting equal treatment contributes to achieving the university’s strategic goals, supports its learning and work environment and values its employees and students.

University of Lorraine:
The aim of Université de Lorraine’s Equality–Diversity–Inclusion (EDI) is to combat discrimination primarily on the grounds of gender, race or ethnic origin, religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation. Within the university, the main goal is to foster the issue of “living together”. More widely, it aims at bringing answers, through research, to questions raised by those inequalites, and prepare thourgh teaching, responsible and open wided citizens and professionnals.
